Week of Oct. 29

This week we have been learning about singular and plural nouns during our D.O.L. time. We also took a D.O.L. quiz. In Reading, we have continued reading the chapter book, 'Justin and the Best Biscuits in the World.' We should be finishing the book next week.

In Math, we took our Chapter 3 test and will begin Chapter 4 next week which is about multiplication and division. We played Sudoku on Thursday and had some new multiplication games for our math stations on Friday.

We finished Chapter 1 in Social Studies (landforms, environment, weather, natural resources, manufactured goods, etc.). We will be taking the Chapter 1 test next week.

In Science we have continued learning about how scientists classify things. We got to go down to the nature trail and collect leaves from many different kinds of trees. When we got back to our room, we classified them based on their characteristics.

On Halloween, our 2nd grade friends from Mrs. Hinrichs class came to visit. We had a lot of treats, read Halloween stories, and did a Halloween picture find with the 2nd graders. Later in the day, we sang Halloween carols with Mr. Anderson's class!
